After such a fine first show, I had to make my way down to Exeter for night three of the tour: the venue was an arts centre tucked away up a sidestreet (with no cheap parking nearby!) and the audience seemingly slightly larger than Frome. A good three piece Auburn acoustic set was followed by The Stretch Report, who looked to be lost in early 80s punk and new wave - not bad, especially the lead guitarist and bassist, but equally not my thing.

As for Live Dead '69, if Friday's gig had been really, really good, this one showed the value of having band with two shows under their belt - the band were really tight and Tony's bass-playing, in particular, was off the scale. As for the encore break out, well, that was just pure fun!!!

Again, the recording came out very well - a very good mix, and with the mics at 8', not too many talkers nor loud clappers. Be warned, though - the bass is right up there; my video camera's anti-drop/vibration mechanism kicked in during 'The Eleven' and it shut down momentarily.
