Jerry Garcia Band 7.9.77 Convention Hall, Asbury Park NJ Mono SBD > ? > FLAC - Sound is pretty good for mono. There's hiss and a buzz that's much more audible between songs than during the music but the performance is clear. - Audio was normalized and long tuning breaks were crossfaded out; no other edits were made. - I won't go into details about the transfer, but I used proper tools with quality settings maxed. - Because this is the first audio transfer of this source to circulate, the multiple flaws (dropouts and myriad diverse minor glitches) are not mitigated in this version. - Flacs are tagged. - Because I am a terrible man, I made an edited version of Russian Lullaby with about two minutes of the bass solo removed. If you are also a bad person, you can grab it here: https://mega.co.nz/#!YFNyUZRA!T8j9yvBzfgeuGNNgt5xGTxQDhOSmpVbUJhqdugJOQF4 - Transferred and prepared for circulation by Mr. Completely in November 2014 Early Show (partial, missing 4 songs) d1 t01 - Sitting in Limbo d1 t02 - Mystery Train Encore d1 t03 - How Sweet it Is Late Show d1 t04 - The Harder They Come d1 t05 - They Love Each Other d1 t06 - Midnight Moonlight d2 t01 - Russian Lullaby d2 t02 - Tore Up Over You d2 t03 - Knockin' on Heaven's Door d2 t04 - Tangled Up in Blue Encore d2 t05 - Not Fade Away ================= A scientific expedition disembarks from its plane at the final outpost of civilisation in the deepest Amazon rain forest. They immediately notice the ceaseless thrumming of native drums. As they venture further into the bush, the drums never stop, day or night, for weeks. The lead scientist asks one of the natives about this, and the native's only reply is "Drums good. Drums never stop. Very bad if drums stop." The drumming continues, night and day, until one night, six weeks into the trip, when the jungle is suddenly silent. Immediately the natives run screaming from their huts, covering their ears. The scientists grab one boy and demand "What is it? The drums have stopped!" The terror-stricken youth replies "Yes! Drums stop! Very bad!" The scientists ask "Why? Why? What will happen?" Wide-eyed, the boy responds, " . . . NEXT COME BASS SOLO!!!"
