fresh off the presses, here's the amazing levon helm band recorded in boiceville, ny this past friday night. the show was a benefit for all of the schools in the area and was arranged by faculty, students and parents in the area. it was a really good show and even had a 3 pc. band of students as the opening act. i think it was a pretty successful night for the schools. of course being in the woodstock area, you never know who might be around and we ran into mike lang, one of the organizers of the original woodstock festival. jim weider, one of the guitarists for levon's current lineup and formerly of the band in their reformed years, is an alumni of the school where this took place. nice to see that folks stick around. anyway, the recording came out pretty well and as i said, it was a nice night. all the info is below. enjoy, dave always more to come...
