Notes:
S1T1 Soundboard. There is some other music (how is that even possible!?) bleeding through slightly in the left channel during this track. Can't explain what's going on here.
1st 34 seconds of S1T2 are mono, pasted from the right channel while I was still setting up the left mic....
* = intro only, abandoned for equipment failure

Jen & I rushed down to this show there after the moe. show earlier at Roseland -- we BLEW out of Roseland super quickly after the show ended to try and catch the beginning of this set. And what a hell of a time we had getting down there -- of course it was raining and there was a CRUSH of people trying to get cabs outside of Roseland. After 5+ minutes of trying, the 1st and only free cab we saw someone stole out from under us -- we flagged it down, but some other jerk ran inside before we had a chance. It would have wound up in a phyiscal conflict if Jen had her way. ;-)

Anyway we wound up opting for the subway -- it isn't a bad subway ride from Roseland to Sullivan (51st to W4), but somehow there was a fire in the station we went into and the train we were in went out of service. So we had to wait (and this was not rush hour so trains were not frequent) for the next one....needless to say it took us a while to get down there and of course Anders was already onstage playing. I excused my way through a packed Sullivan and set up my stand as quickly as possible (which wasn't very quick as it was packed near the pole I was trying to tape my stand to and I noticed a loose screw on one of my mics that would have made it dangerous to put up w/o fixing it). Luckily Pete Costello had his recorder plugged into the soundboard and running (or so we thought). And to add insult to injury, I didn't realize I was low on gaffer tape, so I taped my stand up, but knew there was no way it would hold for the entire night in the hot sweaty room. Sure enough, deep into the 2nd set we noticed my stand starting to slip (thanks to Mike Matlick!) but luckily by that point it had emptied out enough for me to just put the stand on the floor right in front of the column it had been taped to earlier.

Anyway, it turns out that Peter only got part of the first song, and what is there is sort of dicey (how exactly is there other music bleeding into the left channel?) and peaked out (I lowered the volume, but it's super compressed). Oh well, a tragedy of errors on this night. But you know you'll enjoy what we did manage to get!!!
