Because it does. FLAWS: This is a beautiful recording with a few small exceptions: Track 1 has some static on Michaels Guitar microphone which clears up 1 minute into the track. A small amount of microphone static rears its ugly head again between Rock The Nation and Oh My God. TAPE AND TRANSFER This show was taped off the SOUNDBOARD by Dan Kramer (tahoesparit) on his Sony M-1 DAT. Soundboard Mix by Tige. Transferred by Matt Ziegler (spearits@loveisdashit.com) Sony PCM 2300 DAT Digital out > S/PDIF in Audgy Soundblaster Platinum via CD WAVE at 44.1 khz 16 Bit Stereo. Tracked in CDWAVE by Matt Ziegler. SHN'd by Matt Ziegler via MKW (SEEKABLE) REVIEW: by Dan Kramer (tahoespearit) After checking out the fish market and getting some fresh seafood, we headed into the venue to get ready for the night's events. Michael and his wife were reunited with their son Ade and Grandma, as Voice made another appearence with Mom. The show was sold out and the family was all here as Papa Pretty got on the mic and thanked Spoonman for opening the show before bringing up the band. Anybody Seen My Mind caught everyone off guard as an opener, and Mike had some technical difficulties with the sound until half way through the song, when it came back. Right into Love is da Shit, which lifted the crowd until they went into People in the Middle. Not even a minute into the song Michael stops the band and says that this was the wrong song in the setlist and then the band goes into What Happens Next as he says let's get this place movin'. As What Happens Next fizzled out, the band goes back into People in the Middle (reggaestyle). Some girl named Michelle kept jumping up on the stage trying to dance and got in the way of the band trying to perform. Michael finally asks if she wants to sing or something and she takes the mic and nearly blows out everyones eardrums with her piercing shrills. Papa Pretty escorted her off the stage at the end of the song and the band continued on with Every Single Soul. Michael added the Beatnig's Nature within the song as it lead them into Stay Human. The crowd looked like one huge mass jumping and pulsating together. They slowed it down a bit, as Radio got his baby from mom to bring up on stage for Never too Late. Yes I Will followed, and I hoped they would try out the funky version that Mike had played from the studio for me earlier in the day. They decided to incorporate it into the version they had already been playing, and it sounded pretty cool. Carl's bass line is incredibly funky and has lots of dance potential. (Keep your ears out for it) The What I Be, Pray for Grace medley erupted out of the cheers from the last song and set the groove for everyone to bounce to. As Pray For Grace came to an end, Michael slowed it down again with the new song, In The Light. Dave once again just shreds his solo which helps to create the feeling of the song! Michael then picks up his acoustic guitar and leads the band into Everyone Deserves Music. Mike continues the acoustic vibe with Feelin' Free. After jamming it out for all it is worth, the guys stepped it up abit and rock us into Soulshine to end the set. The band leaves the stage as Radio comes back armed with his two panflutes and rocks everyone out until switching up to the beatboxing part of his solo. He hyped the crowd up enough to bring the band back out for Rock The Nation which sent the crowd into a whirlwind. The dust cleared as Oh My God rang out from the stage and everyone started swaying to the vibe. The guys played on introducing Positive to the crowd for the first time on this tour. Bob played well and you couldn't really tell that he was new to the material. We Don't Mind was a pleasent addition to the encore and at the end, Michael took a second to acknowledge Bob's Dad who was in the audience and celebrating his 80th birthday in a couple of days. Love Why Did You Go was up next with the band letting off for a second so Radio and Dave could play off each other for abit. As the song slowly ends, Michael then invites everyone to the 911 Power to the Peaceful concert on the 7th of Sept. And like usual he uses his invitation to transition into Bomb The World. Sometimes finished up the night like usual as they added the Running Away/Crazy Baldheads medley at the end of Sometimes.
