Taper notes:
This was the single most difficult taping experience that I've ever had (and I've had THOUSANDS of them) -- there were Monsoon-like (or mini-hurricane) weather conditions during this show. The venue has a concrete floor so there was no way to anchor my tripod during the high winds, so I had to hold my stand the entire time. To make things worse, the extreme wind would lift up and flip my umbrella any time it could, so I had to hold my umbrella edge to keep it from flipping with my other hand. I couldn't let go of either for a moment and subsequently couldn't dance, take photos, leave to go to the rest room or get a drink/food/anything! After the first set ended, I was shellshocked and could barely even gather my composer enough to talk to anyone...

At least the rain let up some for the 2nd set.

We missed a little of the beginning of "Rock And Roll" as we had retreated inside the venue to escape the rain during the setbreak, and frankly had no way to know when they were coming back on, so when they started, we still had to maneuver back inside to our seats. Thanks to Joel, taper from Long Island who was patched out of me for the assist.

All of that said, on the whole you can mostly barely tell that there was a huge storm going on during the recording. There were only a few brief points of extreme wind that my awesome furry windscreens couldn't handle (and at one point in the 2nd set, my right mic's windscreen actually blew off!), which I have identified and done my best to "de-wind" by filtering out the low bass rumbly frequencies.

Apparently there was only one other taper dedicated (crazy?) enough to rough it out in the Tapers' Section through the first set, but then he retreated to the far back of the venue, under an overhang for the 2nd set.

Since I had to run the stand lower than normal, I did have to scrub some clapping from a few tracks too.
