DAVE MATTHEWS BAND - Heineken Music Hall, Amsterdam, July 7 2009

This is my recording of the Dave Matthews Band's show in Amsterdam from their 2009 European tour. An excellent show with long versions of "Jimi Thing", "#41" (more than 25 minutes!) and "Two Step". Lots of stuff from the great new album as well, which sounds great performed live and the first "Where Are You Going" of the tour. Well received by a noisy audience, this isn't one of my best recordings. Having lots of people walking in front of me to get a drink halfway through the show creates some shaky moments as well (most notably during "Grey Street"). Still a nice document of an unforgettable evening. Some of the applause before the encores had to go to make this fit on 2 CDs (there's still nearly 2 minutes of applause left), I've edited out some of my sister's boyfriend's remarks in between songs as well.
