Phoenix native DJ Z-trip has grown from relative obscurity to the forefront of the turntablist movement, and for good reason. Z-Trip mixes excellent taste in a wide range of music with technical ability to produce an innovative style of hip-hop that is matched by few. Put simply, "Z-Trip goes bananas on the tables with one intention- knocking the party's lights out.") His latest cd, a collaboration with DJ P. entitled "Uneasy Listening, Vol. I," gained cult classic status even before it was released. Also be on the lookout as Z-Trip remixes for Linkin Park, No Doubt, and The Butthole Surfers. If you missed him at the SCRATCH debut at SXSW '01, come rock with Z-Trip...you won't be sorry for long.
