Here's a description from the September 25, 1998 Boston Globe: "Ascensions Boston, at the Middle East Downstairs on Tuesday, wherein Bob Moses, Stan Strickland, guitarist Tisziji Munoz, John Medeski, and the Fringe will explore Coltrane's final two years." The Fringe, in turn, was a long-running collaboration between George Garzone, Bob Gullotti, John Lockwood and others. Munoz recorded with Lockwood and Medeski, who also studied with Moses and maybe Strickland at Berklee School of Music.
