This is from a promotional cassette that Derek Truck's father, Chris, gave to Rick Pavek at the Marco Island Blues Festival circa 1991. Derek was 11 or 12 and his primary focus at the time was the Braves and video games. Rick gave him $5 for quarters. Rick spoke with Derek years later and he remembered. Later on when, Derek used to play bars in FL, Rick's brother would give him $20 to wear a t-shirt of his bike shop on stage.
