PSYCHONAUTS at work...

So, finally the final show from Motorpsycho's exciting spring tour in support of the new album "The crucible" took place in...Reutlingen. Oh, well, they are known for chosing such rather
unknown places/venues already in the past. And it's very remarkable to see the band in still good mood and ready to space out, even at daytime temperatures of 32+C (and I don't think it
was cooler inside!). Of(f) course they pulled out a real epic show, wouldn't you've guessed that? Hmmm...let's see/listen what was going on in that midsize swabian city...
Following a solid start with an early cover-twofer, "Triggerman" shines as the first hightlight of the evening. It's simply beautiful to hear how much this song progressed at this tour.
The opening sequence rocks very hard until we all are taken by the acidic hands gently into Grateful Dead-Land. No further words in need.
In the heels of a funny german languaged intro by Bent, the pure flowerish grace of another extended "APS" kicked in as the wonderland's shrooms might could do. Amazing. But back to earth
with the "Dauerbrenner" of the tour, "Ãœberpilgrim". Even after listening to the x-th version of that supreme combination of songs, I'll never get bored of it. The swirling guitars from Snah
and Reine are breathtaking. So, time to take that kind of thing with a short acoustic exploration until the doublenecks stroke again. All was a fine show, but what happened then?
I guess there was a rush of stones somewhere uphills in north Norway. The band must've felt the intra frequencies and let their mind and body do whitchever the wind blows. Woah!
The "official" final of the final tour show...30+ min. nonstop raw music. But as you know "Hardrock is a lifestyle, Heavy Metal is a Pose". I think I stick to that quote.
All's said and done? What's up for the final encore? True ViKING music warriors set sail, but not before pulling out a great nod to Mother Nature's Finest, a fragile "Feel" and...
a simply unbelievable emotional "Fool's gold" with an extended fade out. All ends that ends well. Bent thanks the crowd and the tour is over. See you in autumn. SB
