Les Brers, Florida’s sensational blues rock and southern rock artists are bringing their signature sounds to Fillmore Philadelphia!
Les Brers was formed in Jacksonville a few months after legendary blues and southern rock act The Allman Brothers Band performed its final show on 28th October 2014. The Allman Brothers was formed by brothers Duane and Gregg Allman in the mid 1960s. Initially, they called themselves the Allman Joys, changed the name to Hour Glass, released 2 albums and in 1969, changed the name again to the Allman Brothers band. They recruited more musicians and the band’s first line up consisted of Duane (slide guitar and lead guitar), Gregg (vocals, keyboards, songwriting), Dickey Betts (lead guitar, vocals, songwriting), Berry Oakley (bass guitar), Butch Trucks (drums), and Jai Johanny “Jaimoe†Johanson (drums). The band started to get mainstream recognition in the early 70s and went on to have a stellar career with 11 studio albums, 16 live albums, 18 compilation albums, 4 video albums, and 21 singles. Les Brers consists of former Allman Brothers Band members Butch (drums), Jaimoe (drums), Marc Quiñones (percussion), Oteil Burbridge (bass, backing vocals), Jack Pearson (lead guitar, slide guitar, lead/backing vocals), Pat Bergeson (guitar), Bruce Katz (keyboards), and Lamar Williams Jr. (lead/backing vocals). They mainly play songs by the Allman Brothers Band along with some other covers.
