DEEP PURPLE North American Tour 2014

IN SUPPORT OF LATEST ALBUM NOW What?!

New York, NY (July 8, 2014)—Deep Purple, fresh off a European tour to support their 19th studio album NOW What?!, is heading stateside for a North American trek! The tour kicks off August 4 in Scottsdale, AZ (all tour dates below).

NOW What?! was originally released in North America in April 2013 via earMusic / Eagle Rock Entertainment. The album marked the next great chapter in the band’s 40+ year career, blending the classic 70s Deep Purple spirit with modern production and a progressive mindset. Having reached #1 in Germany, Russia, Czech Republic and Austria, charting Top 5 in 7 countries and Top 10 in 10 countries, not to mention hitting the British Top-20 for the first time in 20 years, Deep Purple celebrated with the release of NOW What?! Gold Edition earlier this year, which included additional songs and a live bonus disc.

In anticipation of their return to North America, Deep Purple will release their next single to radio: “All The Time In The World.”

Blazing off the success of NOW What?!, Deep Purple is ready to bring the sizzle to the States this summer!

Deep Purple, the legendary classic rock band that’s had hits with songs like “Smoke on the Water,” “Hush” and “Woman from Tokyo” has announced the details of their late summer North American tour, scheduled to kick off August 4 in Scottsdale, Arizona and wrap August 31 in Hollywood, Florida. The Scottsdale show will take place at the casino inside the Talking Stick Resort.

Deep Purple has seen numerous line-up changes over the years and such rock luminaries as Ritchie Blackmore, Joe Satriani, David Coverdale, Joe Lynn Turner and the late Tommy Bolin and Jon Lord have all been members at one time or another. The band’s current line-up features Roger Glover, Ian Paice, Ian Gillan, Don Airey and Steve Morse.

About a year ago Deep Purple put out their 19th album, a return-to-form effort called “Now What?!” The album has also been recently released as a deluxe “Gold Edition” that includes additional songs and more than an hour’s worth of bonus live material. Fans attending the summer shows can expect to hear music from “Now What?!” including the single “All the Time in the World” along with material from the vast Deep Purple back catalog
