A great solo show from Julie Doiron, with a setlist spanning her entire solo career, full of the usual entertaining between song banter! The show was just Julie and her electric guitar playing in a small restaurant/pub in the middle of suburbia. Julie played at the same venue just a little more than a year ago as well, so it was nice to see her return.
This was a family friendly event (including Julie's family) and you hear a few isolated baby cries, and some ambient bar noise (some air conditioner/heater noise, clinking glasses, ice machine, receipt machine, etc). The crowd was very respectful, no chatter, no cellphones, and all there to enjoy the show. Nice to see.
Jimmy Lingley opened with a short acoustic set.
