The Blues 'n' Bones Fest was a wonderful, albeit small, BBQ and music festival
held on a weekend in early June in 2005, 2006 & 2007 under a large tent in
the village of Richton Park, IL, on the far south edge of Cook County.
Despite the small size, the festival featured top-notch Chicago blues entertainment. Sadly, the recession of the late 2000s took it's toll on village finances, and there was no plans for a fest in '08. Which was the right decision, as an EF2 tornado whipped through the town on Saturday, June 8, 2008 - the probable day the Fest would've occurred.
