Stevie Ray Vaughan & Double Trouble
Odds & Ends Compilation #3 NTSC DVD
Disc 3 of 7
Various VHS tapes of various and mostly unknown and/or questionable generation>DVD
This is the third in a group of compilations of various shorter performances/interviews and so forth. I do not have detailed lineage of
each tape, but I am putting the shorter bits all together onto DVD so that they are easier to find and watch than sorting through boxes
of VHS tapes.
Compiled and uploaded by Mudster with compliance of the DIME rules and respect for officially released material for the viewing pleasure
of fans of Stevie Ray Vaughan & his great band Double Trouble.
Please Note:
If you repost this anywhere else, please include this original info file, even if you reauthor the DVD's to have nice menus or something
I suggest playing the DVD's on a 1080p upconverting DVD player rather than on your computer.
The quality varies considerably, don't complain, upload a better version. This is VHS sourced after all.
The quality of one compilation in the series should not be used as a reference to the quality of the other discs.
These clips are in random order as I rediscoverd the clips going through boxes of VHS tapes. They are not in any order of quality so that
disc 1 would be the best stuff and disc 5 the dregs. There is no plan to the order of the compilations or clips.
These clips came from roughly 50-75 different VHS tapes. It is much easier to watch them all compiled onto DVDs. Since I did this,
I might as well share it. Please don't complain about how I chose to do this, it is just for fun.
Technical information is provided, but bitrate varies.
Please make copies for your friends and proactively eliminate any potential market for the unscrupulous who might sell this.
Should you sell it, may a curse be upon you and may you experience a lifetime of premature ejaculation and guitar stings breaking at
crucial points in all your solos.
If you can upgrade any of them, please do.
These compilations do have menus, but there are not song titles on the menu. They simply say "title 1, title II, and so forth."
Some dates may be wrong, some circulate under several names, I could evenly mistakenly include the same thing twice,
I went to great efforts to try to comply with all applicable DIME policies. Some cool clips were left out because they are lip syncs.
There is a difference between the show "Show Time" and the channel "Showtime." Do don't report me for something aired on the former.
Special thanks to the moderators for helping me with guidelines for inclusion of interviews/clips that include offically released music.
Very helpful, thanks guys!
All shows feature:
Stevie Ray Vaughan - guitar, voc
Chris Whipper Layton - drums
Tommy Shannon, bass, voc
1985 and later include Reese Wynans, keys
When other musicians appear, they are noted in that compilation description.
TRACK LISTING FOR DISC #3
1. Farm Aid III? Pro shot, Manor Downs TX, 1986/07/04

2. Canadian TV news clip '87, includes live footage
3. Another newsclip circa 87, CNN
4 Seattle, 1989, audience, this is a snippet of each song performed prior to the encore. It may be the master is this way,
it may be it is not. The encores are full songs and on another compilation posted already. This is a minute or two of each song
so all songs are cut. This wasn't traded that often as I recall.

in Sept., but this copy is better)
10. SRV Interview, circa 1988, possbily "wired" - includes lesson from SRV. This has a cut in it to remove officially released music, so
it continues in tracks 11&12
11. Continuation of interview w offical material removed
12. Same as above, final pert of interview
13. Hey Hey, it's Saturday Night, australia 1984/10/27 Melbourne, Australia, Texas flood (killer, wish I could upgrade)
