Marillion - From script to Straw and more (double DVD)
Notes from the Seeder:
"a collection of live tv performances from Marillion with fish (1983/1986)in Europe.
Not seeing much of the old stuff from Marillion with Fish on the internet,
so i thought it would be nice gathering all my Marillion videorecordings and trading tapes together
and make a whole new dvd set.
With my original recordings as a base, and with the video editing programs on my computer
i made a nice very good Watchable double dvd set.
To good actually to keep it only for myself.
Because i used the best settings at the converting process, Dvd 2 was to big for a normal dvd
and to small (4.8 GB) to use a duallayere dvd.
So i added some bonus material to use the full capacity of duallayer disc.
For this i used a tv performance from Fish at the Dutch tv program:"de vrienden van Amstel live".
In english "the friends from Amstel live".
Fish played (sang) live with the dutch band "de kast" and jan akkerman.
This complete file with Fish is about 24 minutes long and its to short for a single dvd release.
So this is a good opportunity to use it on this dvd.
About the dvd.
All tracks are pro shot and in very good quality,
except the "off the wall" part has in the beginning some tracking problems.
On most of the tracks i did some colour correction and did some volume changes.
Did edit out the official parts from the "off the wall" track.
Assassing from the Rockpop live tv show is also known as the Mannheim concert (Maimarktgelände)
From the bonus part i did edit out the commercials and small talk.
The part fish sang a little bit with de Kast in dutch (very stupid song) isn't also on the dvd.
Did chapter every song (including all tracks from Sight and Sound)
Together with a nice full colour motion song select menu.
Finally the "package" became a BIG one (10.8 GB)but its worthwhile downloading.
The whole DVD document is a nice one to watch and to have and is certainly a upgrade to the older versions."
