Segment 3: 1989 MTV News Segment on Sampling (7 minutes long) - this is a truly historic news clip regarding the increased usage of samples in hip hop music and the resulting law suits. In addition, to the Beastie Boys this footage features the likes of Prince Paul, De La Soul, Ice - T, Debbie Gibson, Kool Moe Dee, James Brown, DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince, Steve Winwood, Robert Palmer, Eric B and Rakim, Tom Petty, and many more weighing in on the future of sampling.
Segment 4 Beastie Boys on Soul Train January 27 1990. Although some of the Soul Train performances have been released now on DVD. This one has not been officially released.
Segment 5 March 1988 MTV News interview with Adam - Adrock - Horovitz regarding the Beastie Boys hiatus following the conclusion of the 1987 Licensed to Ill World Tour... & their plan to return to the studio and record Paul's Boutique once Adam finishes filming the movie "Lost Angels.
