This was an on-air Soundcheck performed by Billy & his band, minus the guitarist who had not yet arrived. Because they couldn't do a final soundcheck, they start riffing of various songs, making fun of other artists, pretending that other performers were there and then singing in their voices (e.g., Aretha Franklin, Frank Sinatra, Bruce Springsteen), making up lyrics to songs they don't really know, and generally having a good time.
The band does not play full songs. Typically 20-60 seconds of each one, eventually trailing off into banter or pretending that the artist who wrote the song had just fallen off the stage.
WBAB broadcast the soundcheck live on the air, and the WBAB DJs occasionally add commentary from the floor of Nassau Coliseum. These "songs" are listed here because they are part of the performance, not of any particular recording.
