Exact date unknown, but the date of August 1973 associated with this recording matches the personnel and tune list.
They also played at Donte's in March '73, but that was a different gig. A Leonard Feather article from 3/25/73 describes a two-night stand. That article also matches a radio interview MF gave on 4/29/73 in which he describes playing Hollywood during this time. Known dates in SoCal leave a gap of 3/10 to 3/15, and so those shows were likely in that date range, however, this recording is not from those two nights.
