Comment
This is volume Four, of a 4 CD series called "When I Need TV I Got T Rex" the title comes from a famous line in Mott The Hoople's, All The Young Dudes.
This volume covers live TV performances from 1975 through to 1977. Most are from the TV program "Supersonic" with a couple of tracks coming from the "Today" program and one "Top Of The Pops" appearance. Anyone who remembers the TV show supersonic will know that although it was shown on children's hour it was superior to most music programs on the TV at that time. T Rex were regulars on the show along with Thin Lizzy, Brian Ferry and many other 1970's bands. The last two tracks on this CD are from Gloria Jones backed by T Rex. Look out for a guest appearance by Dave Edmunds on "Sweet Little Rock 'n' Roller"
Sleeve notes state that all recordings are taken from master tapes, not broadcast tapes. The quality throughout is excellent, this is live, vintage T Rex at it's best.
