The Flex is officially my favorite place to tape now. Great sound, small venue and small stage which lets you be really close to the band. The size delivered an excellent show with a lot of new material thrown in and let it be said that it rocks hardcore. If this is what can be expected of their next studio release I am really looking forward to it. The sooner it is here the better. Mark Heron played some unreal drum patterns, great stuff. Mike Vennart seemed to have some sort of throat infection since he was using a throat spray several times during the show. While he did not seem to be in his best mood he nevertheless talked quite a bit to the audience even though most of it was quite cynical ("The next song is a love ballad" just before Homage...). I enjoyed the show very much since the setlist worked extremly well and they played some of my not yet heard favorite songs too.
In terms of sound quality the recording is close to my previous Oceansize Flex tape. Better or worse I can't really say, thats up to other people. Fact is it sounds great and should give you a good idea how those new and coming songs will sound like. Enjoy!
