I've been a fan of Erasure for a long time, but this was the first time I'd seen them in an electronic sense, having caught them the previous year on their acoustic tour. I did enjoy the show, but was dissappointed by the lack of keyboard playing by Vince, what does he actually do with that laptop? Anyway, this is a excellent sounding show, clear sound, but also captures the atmosphere of the gig. The older songs went down a treat, but the newer stuff (last 10 years) really doesn't stand up to their earlier work. I hope the talk of Vince enjoying the back to basics approach whilst working on the Yazoo (Yaz) tour, means Erasure's tunes will become less dance orientated.
