While Tom Narker hosts "Bluesbreakers" every Monday night on WXRT and plays live concerts, back in the ole days (the 1990's) WXRT played many blues shows on their Sunday night concert. This was recorded for the Sunday night concert series, not Bluesbreakers. This concert was held at the Chicago music mart. It was located at 1 East Jackson Boulevard and state street and is now the DePaul University book store (heart of downtown Chicago), and was host to many free concerts. As live blues shows are concerned, this was a big bonus concert that was planned last minute and recorded at the last minute. While the recording is very good, you can tell that it was not the best production of a live show WXRT ever did. At times it sounds like an audience recording and that actually adds to the feel of the show. That being said, this is a great show. Jr. was in good spirits (whiskey) and the crowd was full of energy (beer..!).
