Thank God for Australian bootleggers! This is the most interesting release in years. For the first time is this very rare and odd BBC recording available on disc, and it is complete! Bowie and Ronson play as a duo, so the versions are very "stripped", but never the less performed splendidly. The two other radio sessions are with Bowie and Gabrels as a duo, and were recorded for two different US radio stations. I don't know if the dates for those two sessions are recording dates or broadcast dates? SCARY MONSTERS is played in a so called "country" version, and is actually very good! All of the songs are great versions, and it's a pity that THE SUPERMEN wasn't played in full. The original pressing of this CD had a fault in EIGHT LINE POEM, and all copies except for 10 were destroyed. These ten discs have a different title and a different cover. The title on the cover is UNDER THE TABLE and has a different picture. The back insert is in black and white only and has thicker letters than the normal cover. The discs have credits to Tao Jones on them plus the original title. All sessions on the disc are in excellent sound quality. A true must!
