The Buddy Guy Band

A fun night, but somewhat unorganized event. Sure, they moved the program along quickly, but there really wasn't any real connection thru out. BIlly Cox & Mitch Mitchell played
together on 1 &1/2 songs. Mitchell did NOT look healthy. The bulk of the the night was handled by the SRV rhythm section Double Trouble. and as you can see as the night builds it goes from Hendrix to a long set of BUddy Guy (which is great I love BUddy!) but so much for the Hendrix momentum. BUddy's set is mostly slow blues numbers & the x-rated blues. And then the night closes with Randolph & Shepherd dueling it out rather than with what many in the crowd were expecting...an all-star jam! We all thought Buddy was gonna bring them all out one by one until they all finished the night with a bang but it didn't happen that way. BUT it was a cool night none the less. AIR GUITAR HEAVEN!
