No Man (is an Island) - Early Demos 1989/90
No-Man are an art-pop-rock combo featuring the multi-instrumentalist skills of Porcupine Tree's Steven Wilson & Norfolk's answer to Billy Mackenzie, Tim Bowness. The band also featured the truly amazing violin of Ben Coleman. The live No-Man band expanded from just the 3-some in the early days to a full band augmented by various members of Porcupine Tree and ex-members of Japan.
These songs date back to the very early days of the band, when they played pubs in North London & the Home Counties and recorded many, many demos at Steven Wilson's home studio, No Mans Land. The band were known to give away tapes of their work at their shows and even gave away a limited 7" vinyl pressing of their cover of Donovan's "Colours". This collection contains transfers of these original tapes and the give-away 7".
