Notes: A steamingly hot and sweaty night that finds Brotherhood rocking out for a partying, screaming, clapping, jiving and dancing Berlin-Friedrichshain fanbase! This is the band's first performance at the Lovelite! The Lovelite, one of the quarter's most important clubs and a genuine Friedrichshain alternative joint, has been hosting Berlin's longest running and best established Sixties/Beat/Garage concert series Club Hektor for years and tonight it's the last ever Club Hektor at this venue as the Lovelite is about to suspend it's regular concert schedule. An honour to play here for the band and of course, being Berlin's hottest and most active Garage and Psych band, a Dance Concert at this place has been long overdue! Despite this being a very hot and humid summer night the club fills up very well proving that the band draws more people to their concerts than most other acts from the Berlin guitar underground. Very well after midnight the band takes the stage, warms up with a few minutes of jam during which Kiryk says briefly hello and then they dive right into "Old tattoo" and turn the power to the max. Brotherhood light up a firework of garage blasts that gets the crowd going hard. Deafening applause between the songs, the people dance, whistle and scream in delight, many also recognize the songs although the band hasn't even released an album yet. A great version of "The drifter" receives more applause, people freak out to a mindblowing Kiryk solo and the ensueing jam takes the crowd for a ride which the people acknowledge with pleased whistling, cheering and stomping! Midset the band takes the pace down a bit so that everybody can breath a bit but they raise the tempo again with some more hard rocking numbers from their reportoire of flashy Garage-Punk-Psychedelia. The crowd strongly and loudly demands an encore while the band is on the side of the stage smiling, gasping for breath and being soaked to the bones. A great danceable "Better hurry" during which the band performs their dance of course seges into "Lovelight" after Lars' solo in order to honour the occasion. This is a very loose version as the band hasn't played this number for well over a year. They wipe the crowd to a last frenzy and shortly before everyone collapses of heat and dehydration the show is over leaving band and audience alike satisfied and many stunned and exited. Once again it is an incredible Friedrichshain concert that perfectly illustrates and highlights the band's growing status as hot music and dance act!
