This show circulates as June 1968 at Winterland. That said, Steppenwolf did not play any of Graham's venues in June, and to the best of my knowledge never played Winterland; indeed, by all accounts they were on the road. One of their few appearances at a Graham venue during the summer of 1968 was July 2nd-4th at the old Fillmore Auditorium. They were in the middle of a triple bill headlined by CCR and opened by It's A Beautiful Day. The set list is definitely from the mid-1968 timeframe, so I chosse this as the date. BluesFan.
