Personnel:
Richard Thompson: guitar & vocals
Danny Thompson: bass
Michael Jerome: drums
Pete Zorn: vocals, guitar, woodwinds, sax and everything else
The second show of the tour. After opening in Aspen, the band's bus broke down outside of Vail and they had a pretty harrowing time making it to Boulder in time for the show. Whatever frustration they had was taken out on the music, as this was a sizzling hot show. Chautauqua Auditorium is a big, old, wonderful, leaky barn on a mountainside overlooking Boulder. It rained when Richard played there solo last year, leaving us all rather damp, and he makes reference to it early on.
