Jim Reid – vocals, guitar
William Reid – guitar
Douglas Hart – bass
John Moore or John Loder - drums
Even with their name misspelled on flyers, there was a heavy turnout for this show from all the hype that had built up about the band from overseas. As can be heard, some folks were not too impressed by what they saw, which was a lot of Jim tripping over himself, stumbling over the drum kit, losing direction, and basically lack of stage charisma. But there were divided camps at this all ages show, like the ones who didn't mind waiting two hours for the band to play a half-hour set, and truly believed they had witnessed the next great band cometh.
They play most of "Psychocandy" and only one song from "Darklands" appears here (their cover of Can's "Mushroom").
Safari Sam's was a restaurant/nightclub that existed at its Huntington Beach location from 1984-1986, and fortunately Gil Fuhrer, one of the co-owners of the club, was running tape this night.
