I'd guess the interview took place before the Meat Is Murder tour took place. It's just Nick, Johnny and Morrissey sitting around having tea and discussing the Smiths and their Music. Both Smiths are very relaxed and the talk is much broader that other interviews of the time. Nick is obviously a big fan, and a very intelligent and knowledgeable guy about music. I think this makes the discussion much more interesting that say radio interviews of the time, where Morrissey always sounds a bit defensive. The discussions are quite frank, and a couple of times Nick turns the tape off so one or other of the Smiths can say something they don't want on the record.
