Story:
It was a packed show at the South Gate House, which is a great venue to see any band. It seems like anywhere in the place is a good spot to enjoy a show. The Twilight Singers took of with a bang. Everyone was charged, Dulli always gets a warm welcome from his home town. The band was smoking hot for a long 80 minute set. While the band was taking a set break, the audience, in usual form, was screaming for more. We love to beat this band for every last drop of sweat. That's when a weird thing happened; not more than 2 minutes after the band left stage someone turned on the house music and lights. This is usually the signal a band uses to tell people to go away. Meanwhile, the band was backstage wondering why there was no longer any cheering. It was a very awkward situation. The stage hands started breaking down the gear. Ten to fifteen minuets later the lights wend down again. We thought, "finally they are coming back", but no, the house light came back up. At this point about two thirds of the audience was still there and they started booing and misbehaving (in front of Dulli's mom, SHAME on us). I guess someone went back to the bus and told the band that a riot was about to happen. Finally the band came back. The problem was that most of the cables on the stage had been disconnected. After Dulli shamed us for acting foolish in front of his mom, the band did their best to give us an encore with 2 microphones and a keyboard, which turned out to be a great improvisitional monent. I left a lot of the audience noise in the tracks around the encore confusion. Anyone that was there can draw their own conclusion.
