This is Brotherhood's debut performance in Potsdam. They perform to eight people in a 300 capacity ballroom! This is the worst attended Brotherhood show to date! Six out of the eight attendees aren't even from Potsdam -- they are longtime hardcore companions from Berlin. The setting is surreal: a giant stage and PA, almost more technicians than audience and the band takes the stage to an empty room. In order to draw the very few people into the hall they launch into a couple of minutes of noisy space jam reminiscent of the typical "Acid comes to me"-intros to many a Liquid Visions show. Despite a really bad monitor stage-sound the band performs a cool show highlighted by a unique slowed down version of "Can't remember" and a massive jammed out version of "Better Hurry" (20 minutes). Kiryk jokes about the small crowd: he announces the next gig the following day (in Berlin) as a show "in einem kleinen Dorf nebenan" (a small village nearby) & he dedicates "Kicksville" to Potsdam's psychedelic scene that has gathered today. They close the show with "Better hurry". This version is of really progressive proportions. It is the first ever version that goes into the jam-portion with a spacy psych jam instead of the usual blues-scheme. From there the band builds up a very interesting free from space that goes through various moods ranging from delicate and quiet space to raging riffs. Somewhere in the jam occurs a slight tease of The Grateful Dead's "Good lovin'". Before they resume the song they take it down one last time for Lars to perform a lenghty drum-solo. The band cuts the set short though -- on the setlist but not played: "Soma shop", "Mind garage" & "The Drifter" (encore).
