12. Death Is Not The End
Gavin Friday was originally booked at the Little Tramp, a 2nd venue that Tramps was running next door. Somehow they double booked that club with another band from Cape Cod, MA. So what they decided to do was have Gavin perform in Tramps after the main show ended, which was the Clancy Brothers with Tommy Makem. They let in the Gavin fans that had been waiting but let any Clancy Brothers fans stay if they chose as Gavin was not enough of a draw to fill the venue. The older Clancy Bros fans were not very receptive to Gavin and during the technical difficulties tracks you can hear them sparring with Gavin on stage and in turn a couple of Gavin's fans got into it in defense of him. Finally being fed up that Tramps couldn't keep the electricity running to the stage equipment, they had Gavin perform "King Of Trash" unplugged with no PA in the middle of the audience. At this point Gavin announces that we should all get our money back and head down to Sin-E and that was where the show was going to end. This venue was much smaller and the place was already packed with customers when the Gavin Friday audience arrive.
