This set is mostly made up of Cardiff and Cheltenham at the start of 2003 when he seemed to be fresh and ready for the grind of touring. He was talking to the audience and his voice in fine form and the setlists were varied as well.

Automobile Blues-done 1 time and the only time he has ever done it- originally done by Texan Lightnin' Hopkins back in the late 50's-I have his version and Van's is better!!!-when Van does the blues he is right up there with Eric Burdon in doing whiteman blues

Dirty Old Town-done 1 time and the only time he has ever done it-by Ewan Mac Coll-I don't have his version to compare it to-but a great song

Evening Shadows-done 3 times-originally an Acker Bilk instrumental from the 60's which Van has put lyrics to-great song-but here to show Van's arrogance-it starts off with Van asking for requests-the usual Vanlose-Gloria-Brown Eyed-etc are yelled out and then he plays Evening Shadows-Marvelous!!!!!!!

scene of many great concerts in the past. Let's hope he doesn't disappoint us this time. All 3 nights are well recorded but the last night really stands out-Big hand to the taper and the appreciative audience.
