Starring Lionel Hampton, and hosted by Mel Torme, this video brings together an all star cast of jazz greats, joined by some of the top performers in pop music. Hear Lionel Hampton, Teddy Wilson and Gene Krupa jamming on classics like "How High the Moon." Krupa's dazzling percussion also highlights the tune "Sing, Sing, Sing." B.B. King injects some basic blues into the program, Dusty Springfield adds pop favorites, Johnny Mercer sings a medley of his unforgettable songs, and Ocean performs their hit "Put Your Hand in the Hand." Hamp & Co. improvise on standards throughout the program, which ends with a bang as Hampton and Torme pick up the drumsticks and join percussion giants Gene Krupa, Buddy Rich and Mel Lewis for the knock-out finale.
