notes from kingsx.net for Pre-OOTSP / Sneak Preview Demos 1985-1987:
The first few songs you start to hear the KX sound developing (these sound more like Sneak Preview songs though). You really here it from 6 on. The OOTSP demos are extremely close to the recorded/released versions. The only differences are slight in the solos and vocal parts. This had to be recorded pretty close to the OOTSP studio sessions. The tape varies in quality, but the sound is excellent as these are studio demos, just some tape hiss here, not that bad at all. This might be the tape Doug was referring to in the "Then" video as on one side there is the Sneak Preview sound and the other the "new" sound.
*unknown singer fronting Sneak Preview or unknown band covering a Sneak Preview song
**Doug Pinnick Band (live) pre-edge era, from a christian station radio broadcast with commentary by DJ
Notes from kingsx.net for Sneak Preview Demos 1983-1984:
Excellent studio quality demos. Only "the lock" has some tape hiss. A bit cheesy but this was the early 80s! "Come on Over" is basically the same music as Tapehead's "World".
