Band:
Geoff Downes: Keyboards, percussion and vocals
Guthrie Govan: Guitar, vocals
John Payne: Vocals, bass, guitar
Chris Slade: Drums, vocals
total time: 1:40:29
Sound is clear and solid, however a bit muffled, perhaps due to the acoustics. Very little crowd interference, and no boominess, John's voice, bass, and the lower drums are clear, not too muddy.
This show is from the Aura tour which included a number of songs from that album as well as some interesting numbers from the past. "Arena" gets its first proper airing in the US as this 2001 tour represented the first significant US touring since 1994. "Days Like These" was also played for the first time with Payne on the vocals, do a credible interpretation. "Sad Situation" is presented in a slow, moody, acoustic fashion, and be sure to listen for the awesome drumming during "Military Man". "Bad Ass-teroid" is the funky fusion inflected instrumental written by Guthrie, a distinctly non-Asia sort of song but very cool. Oddly enough Geoff's solo did not include "Video Killed the Radio Star"; he elected instead to play excerpts from his Shadows/Reflections album (VKTRS makes an appearance later).
