Comment
The New York-based Absolute Ensemble regularly performs its distinctive
take on works by such music giants as Charles Mingus, Miles Davis, and
Jimi Hendrix, as well as compositions by the likes of Bach, Stravinsky, and
Schoenberg.

Conducted by Kristjan Jarvi, the 18-piece electro-acoustic ensemble
fuses classical, jazz, rock, and funk with great creative aplomb.
Absolute Ensemble presents an innovative celebration of the music of
rock iconoclast Frank Zappa.

"What distinguishes the Absolute Ensemble is the personality of its
own stable of composers and players, its range of orchestral colors
and Kristjan (Jarvi)'s charismatic leadership."
