This concert show a different facet of the Hermeto's music. This piano trio was formed to toured around Europe in 1993/1994 (including France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Spain, Holland, and Portugal). For this tour Hermeto invited the drumer Nen? (wich plays with him on Quarteto Novo and later on the Hermeto & Group) and the bassist Arismar do Esp?rito Santo (wich also plays, but not in this concert: drums, piano, guitars, etc).
Arismar told in a tv interview wich for this concerts Hermeto call he and Nen? for few essays before the tour. Hermeto did a setlist (with more or less 25 songs) and the fresh trio starts to work one week or so... after few sessions Hermeto said that the trio had one good setlist and works fine. But as is well knowledge regarding Hermeto concerts... the trio goes to the road and as Arismar said don't plays praticaly nothing of the original setlist... every concert Hermeto plays some tunes and flies for songs that arrive inside his mind at the concerts. But when did a setlist and works few days Hermeto essays not tunes... he works on musical language of the trio and when learning languages the trio was able to plays all tunes. Another nice Hermeto's musical lesson. Arismar told also about another nice expirience from this tour: in germany the trio plays 2 hours without intermittences between the songs only playing little pieces from different songs and improvising a lot. Someone here have this germany concert?
At last....We need more concerts from this special tour!!!
