Max Roach (drums and leader)
Reggie Workman (bass)
Billie Harper (tenor sax)
Cecil Bridgwater (trumpet)
Roma Music Inn 1977
23'41"
RAI Radiotelevisione Italiana Broadcast
note: this is one of the most important and underrated groups of '70s and one of the best in the already legendary Max Roach career.
They have recorded, before the Reggie Worman's left, few and hard to find LPs: the Loadstar for Horo and others LPs in Japan, one under the Workman name.
The mix between Max Roach's geometry and Reggie Workman's mobility is perfect... and with this rhytms behind Cecil Bridgwater and Billy Harper fly... and Billy is really a giant...
This document gives an idea of this fantastic group.
