Not sure about the exact date of this. The previous night they had played Nottingham and this was the second concert in Cardiff within a year. It was my first Clannad show and I wasn't disappointed!! Almost a perfect setlist and a very good recording given the equipment. It was stealth recorded from about three rows back, just off centre by a mate of mine and big Clannad fan from Swansea Uni folk club. Being a seated venue, there is next to no movement-caused mic noise and the crowd is very polite. My copy is copied directly from the master. He also provided the setlist, but even he couldn't identify the penultimate track, which sounds familiar - suggestions welcome.
This may well have been the last tour by the complete, classic line-up and also has the added bonus of Mel Collins on sax. Date is uncertain - the band wish everyone a Happy New Year, which must make it early to mid-December or early January, given my mate's presence at the show.
Fades have been added to the beginning and end of the show. No EQ or noise reduction was used, though you might want to boost the bass a bit when listening. The balance is also slightly off, but I leave remastering to someone who knows what they're doing.
Enjoy and keep it lossless!!!
