Comment
This is the legendary Cowboy Twinkies lp that Ray & the band presented to Warner/Reprise. When it was released in 1975, Warners had added some cheesy (sometimes out of tune) background singers and studio musicians in an effort to make it more "commercial", totally screwing up what the band had wanted. The band was so upset with the results they refused to tour to support it and never recorded as a group again. Warners still owns the rights to the record. According to a source close to Ray "He knows his vocals and guitar playing (are) far better today, not to mention the lyrics. Warner added Nashville players and vocals and ruined the record in his view. To reissue would be an embarrassment to him. His wish is for you all to make copies for each other when needed and share."
