Comment
Originally released as a limited edition (500-unnumbered) double cassette, it was remastered to a double-disc CD version, also as an edition of 500 (numbered), and offered exclusively to The Residents' fan club, UWEB. The recording below is taken from #188 in the edition (as if you'd need to know). Lovingly packaged, and swaddled in a paper bag designed to hold a cheeseburger (it says 'America's Favorite Delicious CHEESEBURGER'), it has remained a Holy Grail of live concert recordings for Residents fans. This is an incredible show with perfect live sound, and all the manic energy right out front. It remains for me the ultimate document of one of their most successful and adventurous tours.
If you're unfamiliar with The Residents, this is a great taste of their strange beauty. Their dark take on the mainstream music scene bleeds through everything they do. Features the slippery guitar noodlings of Snakefinger (R.I.P.), to whom the CD release is respectfully dedicated.
