Comment
Well this is a fabulous 4 disc set that documents the Voodoo Lounge recording
sessions. All are of the highest album quality fidelity and purportedly made
directly from studio tapes stolen towards the end of the Voodoo Lounge recording
sessions. Disc 1 is the alternate Voodoo Lounge, which is reportedly Keith's
preferred mix of the officially released disc. Disc 2 is my favorite entitled
"Keith Plays his Favorites." This is basically Keith playing some old standards,
doing over-dubs and generally having a good time in the studio and it is all fabulous.
The songs on disc 2 are reminiscent of the Toronto studio sessions in 1977. Disc 3
consists of ideas and songs, which didn't make the officially released album, and
Disc 4 is the early versions of the songs that eventually did make the album.
