I Saw Her Standing There (Lennon/McCartney)
RM Take 9 & 12
Feb 1963
Used for mono LP & CD "Please Please Me".
Also found on mono US "Introducing The Beatles" (Brennan) but missing the count-in (only the "4" remains). It is not sure if the version found on "Introducing .." is the UK mono mix or the UK stereo mix reduced to mono. According to Brennan (again), if it was a reduction from the stereo mix we would hear the volume dropout on verse 3 that is typical on the UK stereo mix.
Tilleul's note: This is supposed to be RS1, 25 feb 1963, but to me, it's not stereo. Duophonic at best. No stereo channel separation as on RS1... I don't know (yet) what it is, but definetely not RS1. Probably RM1.

Twist And Shout (Russell/Medley)
RS Take 1
Feb 1963

Tilleul's note: This is supposed to be RS1, 25 feb 1963, but to me, it's not stereo. Duophonic at best. No stereo channel separation as on RS1 (vocals should be on the right channel)... I don't know (yet) what it is, but definetely not RS1. Probably RM1.

Tilleul's note: it has been long assumed that this was RS3, 31 oct 1966. But I'm certain it's not. This is the UK mono mix. The fade out features a long "write-write-writer" unique to this mix. Now, I'm almost certain that all other official mixes SO FAR on this CD are the mono mixes and not the stereo mixes as it was usually assumed.

Comment
In 1983, for the first and only time, the doors to Abbey Road's famous studio were opened to the public, for a tour and audio-video presentation, Fans were treated to a tour of the famous Number 2 Studio, which had remained virtually unchanged from the days of the sixties where the Beatles recorded from 1962-1969.
This is probably a re-pressing of the "Abbey Road Show 1983" CD.
Pitch corrections thanks to Ken Smith (mojofilter01@yahoo.com).
Negative values indicate the speed is too high (pitch too high) and should be reduced.
Positive values indicate speed too slow and should be accelerated.
Values are in % and are based on A = 440 Hz
