A HARD DAY'S NIGHT ('") - Mono - Extended Ending The lyrics "you know I feel alright" at the end of the song are repeated five times instead of the normal three on all United Artist tape issues.
ACROSS THE UNIVERSE ('") - Mono From Brazil mono single - Orchestra part low in mix UK and US singles in stereo.
AIN'T SHE SWEET ('") - Stereo Original stereo issue with Pete Best on Drums.
ALL MY LOVING ('") - Stereo with "Hi Hat Intro." On the master tape the song begins with five taps on Ringo's "hi-hat" cymbal. This Short count-off was included on the original German single and German With The Beatles and also on The Beatles Greatest released in Germany, Holland and Japan.
AND I LOVE HER ('") - Mono with single-tracked vocal. Paul's voice is single-tracked on this song. The instruments were recorded flat with a slight amount of reverb added to enhance the overall sound. This mix is found on the US single, the United Artist mono release of A Hard Day's Night, and on the US mono Something New.
AND I LOVE HER ('") - Stereo with extended ending. On the German Something New there is an additional two bars of music in the closing making the coda six bars long instead of the usual four.
AND YOUR BIRD CAN SING ('") - True Stereo. From the Capitol record club edition of the US album Yesterday And Today.
ANYTIME AT ALL ('") - Mono. The mono version from the US Capitol album Something New differs from the mono mix used on the UK version of A Hard Day's Night.
ANYTIME AT ALL ('") - True Stereo. The True Stereo pressing of this song features two guitars on the Left channel and a piano on the right. Mono and simulated stereo contain only the two guitars.
BACK IN THE U.S.S.R. ('") - Mono. The jet airplane sounds at beginning and end come in different times.Paul's piano is more forceful, and after the opening jet roar there is a quick yell just before George's lead guitar only heard in mono. Also the three guitar chords preceding George's solo are missing as well as the shouts and short piano fills in the instrumental break.
BAD BOY ('") - Mono. The mono version is heavily compressed with bass and drums mixed more up front. The stereo version has the rhythm section mixed softer in relation to John's vocal and George's lead guitar.
BALLAD OF JOHN AND YOKO ('") - Mono. It is stereo on both the UK and US singles, presented here is an original mono mix from the Australian single.
Beatles Medley ('") - Stereo. To commemorate the first anniversary of their first single I Want To Hold Your Hand Capitol released a double album set The Beatles Story a musical biography of Beatlemania. Capitol edited a medley of hits for inclusion: Things We Said Today, I'm Happy Just To Dance With You, Little Child, Long Tall Sally, and She Loves You.
BEING FOR THE BENEFIT OF MR. KITE ('") - Mono. A different mix of this song is found on the mono Sgt. Pepper's LHCB album which contains more tape loops after the line "and of course Henry The Horse dances the waltz!"
BLACKDIRD ('") - Mono. On the mono UK album THE BEATLES there are different "bird chirping" overdubs which are also cued in at different times than on the stereo mix.
BLUE JAY WAY ('") - Mono. The original mono version and"reprocessed" stereo version are missing some of the tape loops of "backwards voices" that are found on the true stereo issue.
BLUE JAY WAY ('") - Stereo. From the original stereo UK Magical Mystery Tour EP. When EMI released the stereo EP on CD they used the incorrect mix from the US Magical Mystery Tour album.
DAY TRIPPER ('") - Stereo. The guitar opening starts on the left and moves over to the right channel only found on the true stereo Capitol record club edition of Yesterday And Today.
DEVIL IN HER HEART ('") - Stereo. Reprocessed stereo by Capitol engineer Dave Dexter Jr. for the US stereo version of The Beatles Second Album.
Dialogue from the Movie Let It Be ('") - Promo single issued to radio stations to promote the film Let it Be. Three banded interviews cut from the movie. Limitations of the original vinyl source present.
DON'T PASS ME BY ('") - Mono. The mono version was shortened by speeding up the master tape during playback. Also the fiddle can be heard throughout the track.
DR. ROBERT ('") - Mono with "OK Herb" version. Only on the US mono Yesterday And Today album John can be heard mumbling "Ok Herb" right after the song ends.
DRIVE MY CAR ('") - Mono. There is less piano mixed into the mono version of this song found on the UK EP Nowhere Man than on any other mono or stereo pressing.
Fab Four On Film ('") - Mono. Promotional single B side for the 1982 Reel Music album featuring an interview recorded during the filming of A Hard Day's Night. Due to legal problems this was quickly switched with I'm Happy Just To Dance With You for the commercial release. Limitations of the original vinyl source present.
FLYING ('") - Mono. The mono version is faded earlier, the ending of the track is mixed differently and the "backwards" tape loops come in sooner. An extra guitar is also present on the mono pressing.
FROM ME TO YOU ('") - Stereo. John's harmonica is featured in the opening on all mono pressings, but has been eliminated on all stereo issues of this song. The harmonica "fills" in the rest of the song are identical.
GIRL ('") - Stereo. Remixed for the US Love Songs Album.

GOOD DAY SUNSHINE ('") - Mono. The percussion track in the fade out differs between the mono and stereo issue. At the fade out the words "good day sunshine" are sung without any musical accompaniment. On the mono version Ringo's snare drum and bass re-enter the track, but on the stereo version only the snare drum comes in.
GOT TO GET YOU INTO MY LIFE ('") - Mono. The mono version has a longer fade out and Paul can be heard singing "every single day of my life" while the stereo version is faded out as he sings "every single day?c.of?c(fade)."
HAPPINESS IS A WARM GUN ('") - Mono. The tapping in the background of the mono version continues until the lyrics start "She's well acquainted with the touch?c", in stereo this disappears four beats earlier. Paul's bass is mixed way up, and after the closing line "Happiness is a warm gun, yeah." you can hear laughter in the mono mix inaudible in stereo.
HELP ('") - Stereo with James Bond Theme Intro version. US Help! Soundtrack album and The Beatles 1962-1966 had this short rendition of James Bond theme preformed by George Martin and his orchestra spliced on.
HELP ('") - Mono. The single version contains vocal and percussion differences in comparison to the album version. The single version was available on all single pressings and on the original mono UK A Collection Of Beatles Oldies. All other releases are the true stereo version whether issued on an album or EP, or pressed in mono or stereo.
HELTER SKELTER ('") - Mono. The ending of this song has been altered and the mixing is noticeably different. The final fade-in found on the stereo issue is missing thereby eliminating Ringo's closing comment "I've got blisters on my fingers!"
HER MAJESTY ('") - Stereo with Final Chord version. Paul's final acoustic guitar chord left intact.
HERE THERE AND EVERYWHERE ('") - Stereo. Remixed for the US Love Songs album
HEY JUDE ('") - Stereo - Short Version. In October 1982 Capitol issued an edited version of Hey Jude on The Beatles 20 Greatest Hits, more than two minutes were cut off the track.
HONEY PIE ('") - Mono. The instrumental break in the song is four bars long. However in the mono version the lead guitar continues for four more bars of "fills" not included in the stereo mix.
I AM THE WALRUS ('") - Stereo. Most all stereo versions of this song switch to "reprocessed" stereo two minutes into the track, this is "full stereo" throughout the entire song.
I AM THE WALRUS ('") - Stereo - Backing Track. This version features only the four Beatles playing together prior to overdubbing the studio musicians and sound effects.
I AM THE WALRUS ('") - Stereo - Remix. Composite version created by Capitol engineers John Palladino and George Irwin. They took the British Stereo version with the six-beat introduction and spliced in the Four extra beats of music heard after the third verse found in the mono recording. The stereo version switches to "reprocessed" stereo approximately two minutes into the track.
I CALL YOUR NAME ('") - Mono. The track begins with a different twelve-string guitar introduction by George, and the percussion which includes a cowbell starts earlier than on the stereo version.
I CALL YOUR NAME ('") - Stereo. In stereo version, an alternate guitar intro was spliced on so the cowbell in the percussion doesn't come in until after the splice when John starts singing the first lineof the song "I call your name?c."
I DON'T WANT TO SPOIL THE PARTY ('") - Stereo. In stereo one of the Beatles shouts "woo" just before the instrumental break, in the mono version this is omitted.
I FEEL FINE ('") - Stereo with Extended Beginning. On the stereo version issued in Germany, along with some whispering, Ringo can be heard closing his "high-hat" cymbal five seconds into the track and before the drums come in.
I FEEL FINE ('") - Mono - Reverb German version. The German version of Beatles '65 album also used heavy reverb but a completely different mix with a much cleaner sound.
I FEEL FINE ('") - Mono with Extended Ending. On most pressings the track disappears when John starts barking in the background Here it continues for a few more seconds into a repeated guitar riff.
I FEEL FINE ('") - Stereo with Echo and Reverb. US Capitol mix from The Beatles '65 album contains echo and reverb not found on any other pressing.
I SAW HER STANDING THERE ('") - Stereo. Vee Jay Records omitted "one, two, three" from Paul's four beat "count off" of this song.
I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN BETTER ('") - Stereo - Mistake The original stereo version contains a mistake in John's harmonica introduction in the mono version the four-bar harmonica opening is clean with no break.
I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN BETTER ('") - Stereo - No Mistake In 1982 EMI put out Reel Music which contains a true stereo version with John's four-bar harmonica introduction clean with no break.
I WANT TO HOLD YOUR HAND ('") - Stereo - L/R Channel Mix Alternate stereo mix from the Australian album The Number Ones. This track has all the vocals on the right channel and instrumentation on the left similar to early Capitol/EMI two track stereo issues.
IF I FELL ('") - Stereo The stereo version of this song features a double tracked vocal by John in the introduction, and the mono only uses one. The resulting combination of these two vocal tracks is that the line "?ccause I've been in love before, and I found.." is heard as "cause I've been in love before, (and) and I found?c" also Paul's voice disappears for a moment during the word "vain", but this mistake was corrected in the mono version.
I'LL BE BACK ('") - Stereo Reprocessed stereo by Capitol engineer Dave Dexter Jr. for the US stereo version of The Beatles '65 album.
I'LL CRY INSTEAD ('") - Mono The mono and stereo versions where artificially lengthened for the movie A Hard Day's Night from its original 1:44 to 2:06 by splicing the first verse back onto the latter part of the song. That made it approximately the same length as Can't Buy Me Love, which was used in its place after director Richard Lester vetoed its use in favor of repeating Can't Buy Me Love in the film.
