"Look, we won?t kid ya: Though we?re pulling through, it?s been a rough summer for us. We haven?t sent a newsletter since mid-July, even though there?s been plenty of news to report; we?ve just been too busy staving off financial ruin. But things are looking up, and we?re not planning on going anywhere. We could never have made it through the summer, however, without the help our friends, and so before we get to the usual routine, we?d like to take a moment to thank some of them:.....
We would also like to specially thank Neil Gaiman, Marc Maron, Doug Martsch, and the members and management of Built to Spill and Kinksi for their exceptional generosity and integrity that makes us proud to have them on our side."
