Trees:
Mark Lanegan
Gary Lee Conner
Van Conner
Barrett Martin
Josh Homme
Notes:
On the third date of the '98 West Coast mini-tour, the Trees were on fire, breaking out into a great jam during Caught Between and dusting off Troubled times for the second encore.
here's a snippet from an online review I wrote back in '98:
"Lanegan sounded perfect, Van was gregarious as usual, Josh was really rocking out, and Barrett was his usual solid, stick twirling, kit-crushing self. They closed their encore with an extended jam at the end of Julie Paradise, again with Lee going off on some otherworldly jams. The most remarkable thing about that song was how much Lanegan was into it. he was still hanging on the microphone as usual, but he was really rocking out and kept looking over toward Lee as he soloed. I hadn't seen him that into a song in many years..."
